About the Role

We seek a passionate, experienced, and qualified 'Old School' Mechanic to join our team to repair and maintain vehicles of 30-120 years of age.

Duties include:

  • Repair and maintain vehicles spanning decades of motoring history.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and restore engines, driveline components, and other mechanical systems.
  • Organise the disassembly of vehicle parts for labelling and proper storage until reassembly.
  • Apply your skills to reverse engineering, machining, and fabricating hard-to-find parts.
  • Work on pre-1980s (pre-computer age) vehicles, applying traditional and hands-on methods.
  • Test, tune, and refine completed projects with pride and precision.
  • Travel to various sites for inspections and perform in-situ repairs as needed.
  • Prepare technical reports as part of the restoration process.

About You

Your skills, experience, and qualifications will include:

  • Mechanics with significant experience (20–40+ years encouraged to apply).
  • Skills in motorcycles, trucks, auto-electrical, engines, white-metal bearings, or EV conversions highly valued.
  • Knowing what points are and being comfortable working on non-computerized vehicles.
  • Experience restoring classic and/or vintage cars, trucks, or motorcycles (highly desirable).
  • Being an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or holding a valid visa with permission to work in Australia.

If you are passionate about restoring cars, have an eye for detail, take pride in your work, can work as part of a team, and have a positive “can do” attitude with appropriate trade experience as a motor mechanic, then we are keen to hear from you.
