We are expanding at our new Hindmarsh flagship site and are seeking an Automotive Electrician who values craftsmanship, careful diagnosis, practical problem-solving, and sound workmanship.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, workshop-based position at Hindmarsh. Typical duties include:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in classic cars, heritage trucks, motorcycles, and specialist vehicles.
- Repairing, modifying, making, and installing wiring looms.
- Using test equipment, wiring diagrams, historic references, drawings, and specifications to determine repair requirements.
- Dismantling, inspecting, repairing, and reinstalling electrical assemblies and components.
- Installing electrical equipment, instruments, switches, lighting, charging systems, starter systems, accessories, and related components.
- Repairing or replacing faulty wiring, fuses, lamps, switches, relays, generators, alternators, voltage regulators, starter motors, and related components.
- Supporting vehicle assembly, testing, tuning, road testing, and final commissioning.
- Assisting with mechanical, dismantling, assembly, and restoration work where appropriate.
- Documenting work to a professional standard.
About You
- Trade qualification as an Automotive Electrician, or equivalent proven experience.
- Experience with classic, heritage, older, or specialist vehicles will be highly regarded.
- Confidence diagnosing faults in older electrical systems without relying solely on modern scan tools.
- Experience making, repairing, or modifying wiring looms would be highly regarded.
- Mechanical, diagnostic, fabrication, assembly, EV, 6V, 12V, or 24V experience would also be highly regarded.
- Subsequent training in high-voltage electrical systems or electric vehicle technology is desirable but not essential.
- Australian work rights, including Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa with permission to work in Australia.
