We're Hiring - Auto Electrician

Are you a passionate, experienced and qualified Auto Electrician with a second trade, or other vehicle restoration, CAD design, EV, or facility maintenance skills?

We seek a person with 'old school' auto-electrician skills to join our team and undertake the following new role supporting both our automotive operations at Finch Restorations (Mt Barker) and the Finch Powerhouse (Woodside):

  • Problem-solving complex electrical problems.
  • Labelling and removing wiring looms and electrical components from vehicles underoing restoration.
  • Installing, modifying and repairing electrical wiring looms.
  • Integrating modern-day systems (e.g. immobilizers, air conditioning, and electric power-assisted steering).
  • Diagnosing problems with vehicle electrical systems.
  • Repairing and replacing damaged electrical components.
  • Maintaining electrical equipment.

Finch Restorations is Australia's oldest car restoration business and is still growing.

We have a multi-skilled team working on classic cars, trucks & motorcycles from Australia, USA, UK, Japan & Europe, spanning 1900-1990.

Our head office and Finch Restorations main workshops are located at Mt Barker and our satelite Finch Powerhouse vehicle repair and maintenance workshop is located in Woodside. Both businesses are located in the Adelaide Hills just 20 minutes up the South-Eastern Freeway from the Old Tollgate.

About you

To be eligible, you will:

  • Have at least 10 years of suitable experience as an auto-electrician (preferably) or 'old-school' mechanic or related trade.
  • Experience restoring classic and/or vintage cars, trucks or motorcycles is desirable.

If you are passionate about restoring cars, have an eye for detail, take pride in your work, can work as part of a team, and have a positive “can do” attitude with appropriate trade experience as an auto-electrician, then we are keen to hear from you.
