Finch Restorations is Australia's oldest car restoration business and is still growing. We have four workshop sites in Mount Barker where we carry out restorations. In Woodside we have a fifth site where we undertake automotive repairs and servicing. Mount Barker and Woodside are both in the Adelaide Hills just 20 minutes up the South-Eastern Freeway from the Old Tollgate.

About the Role
We seek a passionate, experienced, and qualified 'Old School' tradesperson to join our team to repair and maintain vehicles of 30-120 years of age.
Duties include:
- Assess restoration requirements of vehicles to complete to the required level.
- Organise the disassembly of vehicle parts for labelling and proper storage until reassembly.
- Dismantle, check and inspect components for wear and damage.
- Repair and recondition automotive components.
- Diagnose reasons for equipment failure.
- Assemble components after repair.
- Install components in vehicles.
- Carry out vehicle repairs and/or maintenance and diagnosis of problems.
- Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, rectification, component installation and/or assembly of predominantly pre-1980s (pre-computer age) vehicles.
- Prepare technical reports.
About you
Your skills, experience and qualification will include:
- At least 10 years of suitable experience as a trade-qualified mechanic, panel-beater, auto-electrican, motor-trimmer, coachbuilder, machinist, fabricator and/or engine-builder. Recognition for signifcant appropriate experience in lieu of a trade qualification may be considered.
- Experience restoring classic and/or vintage cars, trucks or motorcycles.
- Being an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work in Australia.
