Founded in 1906 in Turin by Vincenzo Lancia and Claudio Fogolin, Lancia quickly became one of Italy’s most innovative car manufacturers. From the outset, the company stood apart—not for building the fastest or flashiest cars, but for pursuing technical excellence, pioneering engineering, and understated elegance.
Lancia introduced many world firsts in automotive design: the first production V4 engine (Lambda, 1922), the first monocoque chassis, and one of the earliest independent suspension systems. These innovations were not novelties—they were considered, functional advancements that shaped the future of automotive engineering.
The marque’s post-war success included iconic models such as the Aurelia, Flaminia, and Fulvia—vehicles admired for their craftsmanship and design precision. Lancia’s engineering focus was matched by a deep motorsport pedigree, culminating in dominance of the World Rally Championship with the legendary Stratos, 037, and Delta Integrale throughout the 1970s and '80s.
Despite multiple changes in ownership and shifting commercial fortunes, Lancia’s historical legacy remains untouched. Its cars represent the best of Italian automotive artistry—intelligent, elegant, and often ahead of their time.
At Finch Restorations, we understand that working with Lancia vehicles is a study in subtlety and innovation. These are not ordinary classics—they are engineering artefacts. Restoring them requires deep knowledge, attention to mechanical detail, and an appreciation for the marque’s philosophy of quiet excellence.
Our team brings a sympathetic, historically informed approach to each Lancia project, ensuring that engineering integrity and original design intent are preserved. Whether it’s a grand touring Aurelia or a rally-bred Integrale, our restorations are tailored to honour the spirit of the original car.
