The SS100 Jaguar is, arguably, one of the most beautiful sports cars ever produced.
A slight change of pace from many of the projects and restorations we do, this Thornycroft truck was designated to be a museum piece from project start. Owned by the same family business for nearly a century, the 1930 Thornycroft A1 truck is one of only a handful ever brought to Australia from its native England.
Sent to us from the proprietor of a luxury car dealership in Spain, was this photo of a car built by Finch Restorations for sale in their showrooms.
The MG F-type Magna is a rare machine, with just 1250 examples built across three models, of which only 40-odd were roadsters. This example came to us with bent, rusty chassis members and a heavily oxidised aluminium body, but scarcity and prestige ensured it was well-worth saving.
The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (250 TR), introduced at the end of the 1957 racing season, marked a pivotal moment in automotive history. Adapting to the new rules of the Le Mans and World Sports Car Championships in 1958, which limited engine displacements to 3 litres, Ferrari embarked on a journey of continuous innovation.
Arrived at Finch is another exciting project from Victoria - the restoration and hand-building of a new bespoke body for this Packard Speedster Special.
This 1907 Panhard et Levassor U2 Charabanc won the Concours International - Award for Timeless Elegance at the 2011 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance in Connecticut.

This project is the 'resto-mod' (restoration-modification) of a 1948 Jaguar 3½ Litre ‘Mark IV’ saloon. The owner in Victoria is looking for a comfortable and reliable daily driver and highway cruiser to complement his collection of authentic Jaguar vehicles.
This 1959 Mk2 Jaguar was the 59th Mk2 3.4 Litre built. The car is owned by Chris, a prominent South Australian wine-maker. In the late 1980s, Chris' wife had a scary accident when the brakes failed while she was driving the Mk2 through their local town.
When Margaret Rose rediscovered a truck from her childhood, she was surprised how badly it had deteriorated – and just how much the ‘old red lorry’ meant to her. She talks about the restoration of her three-tonne 1948 Commer 'Superpoise'.
A legendary 1973 Ford Falcon XA GT RPO 83 has been sent to Finch Restorations for a detailed ground-up restoration.
This 1914 Hispano-Suiza Roadster Type 26 James Flood Sports Roadster won its class at the 2003 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California.
It is not that often that you will meet a car that has been in the same family for nine decades. When we first received a call about this lovely 1933 Dodge Tourer, we were immediately interested to learn about its long lineage in New South Wales.
