Finch Restorations is participating in the 2023 Adelaide Auto Expo at the Adelaide Showground this weekend. We are showcasing two of our major projects; an ex-race Porsche 964 (911) we are returning to the road, and a supercharged 'SS Jaguar 100' (SS100) roadster we are recreating for a client in Florida.
A trio of early-1950s trucks—each with its own story— has presently in the Finch Restorations workshops. Together they represent about a third of the truck and pickup projects currently in our workshops, sent to us from owners across Australia.

A large and eclectic collection of around 300 cars is being sold in South Australia (July 2015). The cars originate from many countries, with British models dominating – including a number with Australian coachwork, such as an ultra-rare Ford 105E convertible. There are a few Edwardians, including the remains of the unique c1912 Dodson, plus a c1910 De Dion-Bouton, which has at some time has been re-bodied and restored.
Before digital models and laser cutting, coachbuilders relied on handcrafted wooden bucks to shape body panels with precision. At Finch Restorations, we still do. Discover how these time-honoured tools help us bring vintage curves and classic craftsmanship back to life — one panel at a time.

Even the most hidden corners of a classic car deserve expert care — and few details are more overlooked (or more satisfying) than a perfectly restored tool tray.
