The definition of what constitutes a 'muscle car' can be quite subjective and varies among enthusiasts. However, we generally agree on several key features that characterise these powerful vehicles:

Firstly, muscle cars are traditionally manufactured in either Australia or America. While it may be tempting to include British V8 Morgans or Aston Martins in this category, we have chosen to exclude them due to their country of origin.
A defining characteristic of muscle cars is their high-powered V8 engine, which delivers the exhilarating performance that enthusiasts crave.
Importantly, muscle cars are not exclusively limited to two-door models; they can come in various configurations, adding to their appeal.
Additionally, our definition does not restrict muscle cars to those manufactured before the 1990s, recognising that the spirit of muscle cars continues to thrive in more modern iterations.
It’s also crucial to note that muscle cars are not classified as sports cars, which is another reason we refrain from including Morgans in this category.
Finally, while muscle cars are primarily street-legal vehicles, they may also be designed with racing capabilities in mind, allowing for versatility in their use.
