Expressions of Interest - Old School Mechanics and Panel Beaters

Finch Restorations can offer great opportunities for the right craftspersons with the right experience, skills and attitude to make their mark as a restorer and remanufacturer of great and historical vehicles. Various roles are responsible for performing stripping, repairing, rebuilding, maintenance, fault diagnosis, mechanical rectification, component installation, assembly and testing of predominantly pre-1980s (pre-computer age) cars, trucks and motorcycles.

You and Your Background

  • Significant experience as a qualified technician/craftsperson in the following fields:
    • automotive mechanic,
    • panel beater,
    • metal fabricator,
    • machinist,
    • coachbuilder,
    • vehicle body builder.
  • Being multi-skilled in two or more trades is an advantage.
  • Experience on British / European vehicles is an advantage.
  • Able to visualise the end product, have a great eye for detail, good hand-eye coordination and great pride in own work with excellent attention to detail.
  • Enthusiastic and organised with a positive outlook, 'can do' attitude and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Possess a valid driver's licence and clean record.
